What to look for in a Mortgage Company
You'll want someone to help remove the anxiety and stress of buying a home. They should help to answer the question, "Is it the right time to buy a home for YOU."
Like anything, personality matters. Find someone who asks questions, listens and who will help you define a goal that is best for you.
DO THEY HAVE A SECURE PORTAL
Gather your documentation. Be prepared. This will help your loan officer make a mortgage ready plan that is right for you.
MAKE SURE THEY DO THIS FOR YOU - DISCUSS:
The amount of the loan.
The monthly payment
Cash to close
Any other questions you may have at that time.
Their goal should be to take the complications out of the process. You’ll be surprised by how easy your life becomes once you find the right partner for your homebuying team.
Is your loan officer willing to also work in partnership with your realtor? In our opinion they should be one in the same when it comes to communication and advocating for you, the homebuyer.
